Tennis professionals such as Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray or Novak Djokovic but also Maria Sharapova are just the beginning of padel-enthusiastic celebrities.
Many current and former football professionals love Padel. Many active and former football professionals, including world-famous ones like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, Iker Cassilas, Pique or Neymar - love the world's fastest-growing sport - padel tennis: Some football professionals only play padel in their free time, others even own their own padel clubs and facilities. Football clubs are also interested in padel. In addition to football professionals, many football professional clubs such as Liverpool FC or Manchester City have jumped on the padel tennis bandwagon and established padel courts on their club grounds and incorporated the sport, especially because of its social strengths, into their training program.
German football professionals love padel.
More and more German football professionals are fans of padel tennis. The German national team prepared for the European Championship 2021 with padel tennis. In particular, Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Bernd Leno were particularly padel-crazy. In addition to the DFB team, the Bayern Munich team also uses it to prepare and stay fit. Furthermore trainer Julian Nagelsmann and manager Hasan Salihamidžić-Brazzo have also discovered their passion for the padel sport.
Probably the best-known German padel fan is Jürgen Klopp, who once called padel "the best sport of my life!" Klopp, who plays a lot of padel tennis in his free time, has even brought a padel collection called Wilson x Klopp onto the market in collaboration with the tennis manufacturer Wilson at the beginning of 2022.
